Mr. Garnet Henry Thibault a resident of Wallaceburg and formerly of the Sombra, Port Lambton area passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Oaks Retirement Village, in Wallaceburg at the age of 96 years.
Garnet was born in Sombra Township and was a son of the late Henry and Mary Jane “Jenny” (Reynolds) Thibault.
Celebrating in 4 days what would have been 74 years of marriage to his loving wife Margaret (Smith) Thibault.
Loving father of Linda (Max) Draper and Carol Ann (Ross) Toman.
Dear grandfather of Shane, Andrea, Patrick, Katelyn, Nathan
and he will be sadly missed by his 10 great grandchildren.
Kind brother-in-law of Dorothy Gonyou, Betty Bullock, Janet Smith and Marguerite Smith.
Predeceased by a sister Dora (Herb) Arnold, and a brother Ken (Mary) Thibault.
Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Monday January 3, 2022 from 10am – 12 noon and a service to follow at 1pm.
The funeral Service will also be broadcasted by Zoom, please email nichollsfuneralhomezoom@gmail.com to receive the link.
With the Covid-19 restrictions, we are asking reservations be made for the visitation and the service by calling the funeral home (519-627-2861). Masks and social distancing are required.
Interment in Riverside Cemetery.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society may be left at the funeral home.
