Obituary of Gabriel Joseph Gallien
It is with heavy hearts, the family of Gabriel Joseph Gallien, husband of Gisele (Robichaud), announce his passing on Monday, November 7, 2022, after a long illness.
Born in Saint Simon, NB, on February 10, 1946, he was a son of the late Alcide and Clara (Malliet) Gallien. Gabriel was employed as a Scalfolder for over 50 years. He was a member of Local 1386 and Alberta Local 1325. Gabriel was known as a hard worker. He enjoyed fishing, being in nature, and loved his family.
Besides his wife, Gabriel is survived by his children; Justin (Barb Cormier) of Saint John, Mireille Gallien (Dan Bursey) of Hampton, Valerie Tremblay (Chris Donohue) of Grand Prairie, AB, and Stéphanie Gallien of Quispamsis, brothers; Mario, and Marcel, sisters; Rosemond, Claudine, and Gisele, grandchildren; Matthew Young, Haley Cormier, Eric Bursey, Nicholas Bursey, Katelyn Bursey, Alex Nyers, Victoria Nyers, and Michelle-Ashley Nyers, great grandchildren; Payton, Landon, and Abby, as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Gabriel was predeceased by his daughter Marie Carole Gallien, brother Alcide Jr., and sister Murielle.
The family wishes to express their gratitude and thanks to the Kennebecasis Extra Mural nurses and doctors for their care and compassion.
In keeping with Gabriel’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM from Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119). For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Gabriel can be made to the Saint John SPCA, or to the Kidney Foundation, would be appreciated.

Née le 10 février, 1946, a Saint Simon, NB, il laisse dans le deuil sa femme Gisele (Robichaud) Gallien, un fils Justin Gallian (Barb Cormier) de St-Jean, trois filles; Valerie Tremblay (Chris Donohue) de Grande Prairie, AB, Mireille Gallien (Dan Bursey) de Hampton, NB, et Stéphanie Gallien de Quispamsis. Il laisse également ses petites-enfants, qu’il adorait plus que tout; Matthew Young, Haley Cormier, Eric Bursey, Nicholas Bursey, Katelyn Bursey, Alex Nyers, Victoria Nyers, et Michelle-Ashley Nyers, les arrières petits-enfants, Payton, Landon, et Abby, ainsi que de nombreuse nièces, neveux et famille étendu.
Gabriel est prédécédé par sa fille Marie Carole Gallien, son frère Alcide Jr., et sœur Murille.
Gabriel a travaillé comme Scalfolder pendant plus de 50 ans. Il était member de la section locale 1386 et de la section locale 1325 de l’Aberta. Gabriel était connu comme un travailler acharné. Il aimait pêcher, être dans la nature et aimait sa famille.
La famille souhaite exprimer sa gratitude et ses remerciements aux infirmières et les docteurs de Kennebecasis Extra Mural, pour leurs soins et leur compassion.
La famille recevra amis et famille au Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506-849-2119) de 14 h à 16 h et de 18 h à 20 h, le samedi 19 novembre 2022. Conformément à la volonté de Gabriel, il n’y aura pas de service funéraire. Pour ceux qui le souhaitent, un souvenir peuve être fait à la SPCA de Saint John ou le Kidney Foundation
