Obituary of Frederick James Eade
Surrounded by the love of his family, Fred passed away peacefully at the Douglas Memorial Hospital on March 26th, 2022 at the age of 77.
He married the love of his life, Jeanine (nee French) on April 15th 1967.
Loving father of June Eade-Wolbert (Mark) and Dale Eade. Grandfather to Rebecca Wolbert, Andria Iverson (Braden) and Emma Wolbert (Nathan). Great Grandfather to Mackenzie, who he loved very much and was so proud of. He will be sadly missed by his sister, June Middlebrook (Abe).
Fred was predeceased by his mother Mabel, his father Jim and his brother John.
Fred was a hardworking man, dedicated to each and every company he worked for. He began his career at Campbell’s in 1966 as a heavy equipment & shovel operator in the quarry. He worked at the company for 17 years, doing a variety of jobs from operating machinery to maintaining the equipment as a heavy-duty mechanic. Later he worked at Ridgemount Quarries and MJ Storm. To finish off his career, Fred was a proud employee of Circle P Paving for approximately 25 years.
In addition to the dedication Fred showed to his family, friends and workplace, he enjoyed playing cards, watching the Leaf’s play, driving his tractor, riding the snowmobile and spending time outdoors. He loved telling stories to his family and friends about the good old days, living on the farm. In his retirement, he spent a great deal of time chatting with his buddies at Tim Horton’s and watching the horses race at the track, where he also worked part time grading.
A special thank you to all the fabulous nursing staff at Douglas Memorial Hospital, especially nurse Joyce and nurse Cory. Thank you to Dr. Scher for his kindness and compassion and his home care nurse Elizabeth, who was very helpful for many months. If desired, donations to Douglas Memorial Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated by the family.
