Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, at Afton Park Place, Frederick Smith passed away at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Eva Smith. Loving father of Don (Brenda) Smith and Lynn (Eric) Battle. Cherished grandfather of Melissa Espanola, Donald Smith Jr., Cheryl Ogden, Erica Hickman, Jody Battle, Lindsay Battle, Chris Smith, and Samantha Dew, and great-grandfather of 14 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way. Dear brother of Jake, Helen, Nancy, Terry, Donna, Sally, Theresa, and Linda. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Frederick and Theresa Smith, his son John Smith, daughter Nancy Elliott, and siblings Dell, Bobby, Judy, Billy, Patsy, and Peggy. Fred loved camping and playing horseshoes. He enjoyed country music and playing his guitar. Fred worked at Fiberglass for many years. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of choice (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
