Frederick Douglas O’Donoghue Thursday January 27th 2022

O’DONOGHUE, Frederick Douglas Jr.
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of “Freddie O” on Thursday, January 27, 2022, after a brief battle with cancer. He leaves behind his mother Rose Mary O’Donoghue who he lovingly called “Rosie”, the three loves of his life: daughters Courtney and Chelsea and granddaughter Sophia. His sister Molly (Shawn), brother Terry (Megan), brother-in-law Garry (Judy), stepmother Helen and his best friends Mary-Lou, Jamie and Doug. As well as all his extended family members from the O’Donoghue and McNeil Clans. Predeceased by his father Frederick Sr. (2013) and Sister Judy (2020). We will miss his infectious smile, mischievous laugh and mostly, his sense of humour.
Thank you to his second family at the Niagara Falls Bridge Commission, after 40 years of service and a big thank you to the Trillium Staff at GNGH who took care of him. Honouring Fred’s wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honour through MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls, either to the Niagara Dog Rescue (niagaradogrescue.com) or in trust for Sophia’s education fund.

An Irish Blessing
May the road rise to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sunshine warm upon your face,
May the rain fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again
May God hold you in the palm of His hand
