It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Fred Odnokon who went to be with His Lord and Savior on April 7, 2022. He was originally from Blaine Lake. Dad passed away peacefully at home with his family surrounding him and his loving wife holding his hand.
Dad and Mom met on July 1, 1946, at Radisson Sports Day. They were married on October 30, 1948 and were married 73 years this past fall. They had a mixed farming operation in the Blaine Lake area for nearly 60 years. Dad also worked on several different ferry crossings in Saskatchewan. He also served on the RM of Blaine Lake as councillor.
His most important people in his life were his family. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife Ann and his 4 daughters: Audrey (Maurice Boutin), Donalda (John Fehr), Sharon (Baschuk) & Doreen (Jim Fehr). He was predeceased by his parents, siblings & son-in-law Dennis Baschuk. Surviving is his sister Laverne Minisofer, 16 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren & 3 great-great-grandchildren. Dad was a loving and caring man who was always very generous with his family and looked forward to phone calls and special visits with grandchildren.
A special thank you to the home caregivers & Dr.D. Cameron. As well as Pastor Brendan Gibson from Emmanuel Baptist Church, who visited & gave support & will be officiating the service.
