Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Fred Neale on Friday, October 7th, with his loving wife and daughters by his side.
Fred was born on March 30th, 1947, in Revelstoke, B.C. and was proud to say he was a lifelong resident.
Fred had a long career with the Highways Department, until he retired in 2008 because of his struggles with Parkinson Disease. Fred had incredible work ethics and will always be remembered for his great sense of humor, kindness towards others and was always up for a friendly conversation. Fred had a big heart and was always there to help anyone in need. Fred enjoyed fishing, cross country skiing, tinkering in his garage and going for coffee with his many friends. Family was the most important thing in Fred’s life and his biggest pride was his two granddaughters.
Fred leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Mary; his two daughters: Heather Aspden, John Aspden, and granddaughter Nicola; Traci (Marc) Planden and granddaughter Paige. Fred is also survived by his sister Mabel (Bill) Gallicano and nieces Sherri and Jane, as well as many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Fred was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Gwen Neale; his in-laws Harry and Irene Norberg; his brother-in-law Alywin Lelievre and niece Sheri Waters.
In lieu of flowers, Fred is asking for donations to be made to: Parkinson Society B.C., 600 – 890 West Pender Street, Vancouver, B.C. V6C 1J9.

At Fred’s request, in which the family is honouring, there will be no formal funeral service.
