TRENTON – J. Fraser MacLeod, 83, Trenton, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2022, in the Aberdeen Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Mountville, he was a son of the late Daniel Lund and Ida Lillian (Fraser) MacLeod. Fraser was employed as a welder with the former Trenton Works for over 40 years. He was a faithful member of the Trenton Church of the Nazarene where he served in various capacities. Fraser enjoyed playing baseball, lob ball, hockey, bowling and playing crib. He was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and Blue Jays fan. Fraser possessed a wonderful sense of humour and appreciation for nature. He faithfully studied his Bible every evening and enjoyed watching TV. For Fraser, “Life has changed; not ended!”
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Lorraine (Gillis); daughters, Michelle (John) Norris, Churchville; Marla (Josh) MacKay, Toney River; grandchildren, Kayla and Kelsey; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Beulah and Janet; brothers, Norman, Edward and Alexander.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, October 27 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, October 28 in Trenton Church of the Nazarene. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Stellarton.
Donations may be made in Fraser’s memory to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia and Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.

Dear MacLeod Family – With sincere condolences, we are very sad to hear of Fraser’s passing -brought back a flood of memories when we were neighbours on George Street – especially Fraser pretending he hated our Siamese Cat Felix who used to terrorize him by going to sleep in the back window of his car on a warm day & meowing the deep Siamese meow as he tried to back out of his driveway. RIP Fraser – you were a great friend.
