With profound sadness and love, we announce the passing of Frank (Francesco) Sgro who passed away with his family by his side on November 6th 2022, at the age of 81. Devoted husband to Sunday for more than 51 years, Frank will be forever missed by his wife, his children Jennifer (Parker) and Christopher (Sarah) and his adored grandchildren Charlotte and Theodore.
Predeceased by his parents Anthony (Tony) Sgro and Assunta (nee Teti) Sgro, and sister Mary Facchini (Vince), Frank leaves behind his brother Joe Sgro and sisters, Victoria Giannotti (Lino, deceased) Rose Gallello (Nick), Joyce Ruffo (Frank) and Elena Cheung (Jim), sister-in-laws Nina Diomede, and Margaret Janetos (Louis) and Brother-in-law John Diomede (Krystyna).
A favourite uncle, Frank also leaves behind his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nephews. A wonderful friend, Frank will be missed by his dearest cousins and all those who knew him.
Friends and family are welcome to attend visitation at the Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin Street, south of Lawrence Avenue West) on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Fidelis Church (33 Connie Street, at Rustic Road) on Friday, November 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
Frank will forever be in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Frank’s memory to Parkinson Canada.
