Frank John Friesen Thursday July 14th 2022

Frank John Friesen passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022 at Donwood Manor, his home for the last number of years. He was born on January 20, 1932 to Frank and Agnes Friesen in Morden, Manitoba and enjoyed a happy childhood along with his three younger brothers. In 1956 he married Olga Mueller and they had three children, Ken, Lynne, and Ryan. In 1965 the family moved from Morden to Winnipeg where Frank worked very hard and took night classes to become a Registered Accountant. His accounting career began as finance officer with Manitoba Health Services working to improve senior care in Manitoba. Later, he moved on to become the financial administrator at Sharon Home. In 1981, he married Bernice Drader and endeared himself to her family. When he retired, he enjoyed working part-time as a limo driver.
He is survived by his children, Ken (Alice) Friesen, Lynne (Bruce) McGregor, and Ryan Friesen; grandchildren Paul (Megan) Friesen, Kari (Ron) Hiebert, Mark (Alyssa) Friesen, Christine (Tristan) Williams, and David McGregor; step-daughter Brenda Drader and her children, Paige Drader (Brad Scott), Chad (Chelsea) Mullan and Patrick Mullan. There are 7 great-grandchildren in the Friesen family and another 7 in Brenda’s family. He is also survived by his three brothers and their families, Dave (Elsie), Henry (Joyce), and John (Ingrid).
His children gratefully acknowledge all those who visited and cared for Dad.
