At the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday August
25th, 2022, Mr. Francis Gabriel
“Butch” Solomon Sr. of Kingsclear First Nation passed away
at the age of 72. Born in Fredericton NB he was a son of the
late Charles and Geraldine (Tomah) Solomon.
Butch worked as a carpenter and at the Salmon
Hatchery. He loved playing Bingo. He enjoyed
spending time outdoors and with his grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Karen Sacobie, his
children; Francis Gabriel Jr. (Brittney Bouchard), Leslie Erica Marie
(Rickie), Melanie Solomon (Frank) and Francis Nicole Solomon (Peter),
14 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 4 sisters as
well as several cousins nieces and nephews. Beside his
parents he was predeceased by adopted son William Arthur Rodney
Sacobie, grandson Lawrence and two sister Louise and
Theresa.
There will be no visitation by request. A
traditional funeral celebration in Butch’s memory will be
held on Thursday September 1st 2022 at 2 PM on
the Kingsclear First Nation Pow Wow grounds. There will be a
celebration of Life on his birthday September
14th on Kingsclear First Nation.
