Obituary of Frances Layman
Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital, surrounded by loving family on Saturday, July 2, 2022, Frances Layman of Gull Island, age 75 years.
Predeceased by parents: John and Rita O’Leary; parents-in-law: James and Winnifred Layman; sisters: Genevieve Hanlon, Carmel Hatch, and Mercedes O’Leary; brothers-in-law: Bob Hanlon, Joseph Hatch, and Paul Eaton.
Leaving to mourn, husband: Arthur of 57 years; three sons: Eddie (Marylynn), Salmon Cove, Daron (Kim), Gull Island, and Cory (Carolyn), Salmon Cove; five grandchildren: Joshua (Amanda), Jessica (Kramer), Madison (Dylan), Lanie (Seger), and Jaxson; four great-grandchildren: Amaya, Alayna, Luke, and a precious great-granddaughter who now has a special guardian angel looking over her; seven brothers: Joseph (Agnes), Kevin, Jerry (Danita), Don (Karen), Derm (Jane), Edward (Phyllis), and Cyril (Audrey); four sisters: Marcella (Bill), Bridget, Paula (Hal), and Barb (Eric); also a large number of other relatives and friends.
Visitation at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay on Tuesday, July 5 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, July 6 at 2:00 p.m. from Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Northern Bay.
Interment to be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, P.O. Box 79, Highroad 70, Northern Bay, A0A 3B0.
