In loving memory of Francesco “Franco” Leone, 88 years who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at his residence with his loving wife at his side. Beloved husband of Anina (Ianni) Leone. Loving father of John Leone (wife Karen) and Laura Leone (Shawn Mulligan). Cherished Nonno to Elisha (husband Zak Szydziak) and great grandchild Odin John. Dear son of Giovanni and Maria Leone both predeceased. Dear brother of Carlo and Luigi and predeceased by Laura, Osvaldo, Enzo, Gianni Leone, and Anna Taverna. Special uncle to Corinna, Robert and Franco and their families. Franco was an avid gardener whose green thumb produced bountiful vegetables. He was a generous person who was quick to help others often assisting people with their pensions and government documents. He was a dedicated and life member of the Caruso Club having been a founder of the Italian Festival. He took great pride in his Italian Heritage. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church, 591 Brennan Rd., Sudbury on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 10:30am. Entombment in the Civic Cemetery Mausoleum.
