Passed away peacefully on May 4, 2022 at the age of 95.
Born in San Vito Lo Capo, Sicily, she is now reunited with her beloved husband, Pietro. Loving mother of Angela and husband Andrea Gervasi, Maria and husband Gino Tartaro, Vince and wife Anna, Dino and wife Alaina. Loving grandmother of Peter (Corrine) Gervasi, Enzo (Laura) Gervasi, Angela Flowerday, Ezio (Danielle)Tartaro, Piero Tartaro, Piero (Laura) Aleo, Francesca (Joe) Abdallah, John Paul (Andrea) Aleo and her “tesoro” Chanel (Eric) Aleo. Great-grandmother of Andrea, Matteo, Patrick (Sandra), Victoria, Thomas, Julia, Olivia, Vienna, Gabriella, Sophia and Emanuela. Francesca had six siblings. She will be missed by many family and friends in California and Italy.
We wish to thank Franca and Tony and the staff at Dolce Vita for the excellent care shown to Francesca during her eight years there. She considered it home and felt very comfortable surrounded by her friends. She retired from Hotel Dieu hospital after many years in the food services department.
Francesca was a remarkable woman, she was compassionate, joyful and loving. She was a friend to all she met. She loved to laugh, sing and celebrate. Everything she touched, she made exceptional.
Visitation at Families First, 3260 Dougall Ave., South Windsor, 519-969-5841 on Monday, May 9, 2022 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. Prayers at 4:30pm. The family requests that you wear a mask during the visitation.
A private mass will take place on Tuesday with entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
