Peacefully, on May 29, 2022 at 96 years of age. Reunited with her beloved husband Gord (1980). Loving mother of Gary (Lesley), Danny (Kathy), Glenn (late Sue, 2014), Jimmy (Judy) and Michael (Cathy). Treasured Nanna/Gramma of Wendy Wood (Larry Garrod), Russell Wood (Enza), Kerri (B.J. Eckert), Rachel (Ian Meeke), Michael Wood, Natalie (Ken Kavanaugh), Gord Wood (Magda), Jay Wood (Kari) and Jerrica Wood. Devoted great-gramma of Emma, Sofia, Paige, Vincent, Eric, Avery, Amber, Ryan, Aiden, Anna, Terry, Jhanelle, Leah and Noah. Predeceased by her siblings Eleanor and Jackie. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Frances loved Bingo, going to the Casino and watching the Red Wings. She always looked forward to St. Patrick’s Day and enjoying a cold green beer. She was a member of the Legion branch 255 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a life member and executive of Riverside Minor Hockey. Fran was a longtime employee with the City of Windsor (Riverside Arena) and Local 200. If you so desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Visiting Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 5:30 p.m. at Families First 1065 Lauzon Rd., East Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Wednesday, June 1, 2022 family and friends are invited to meet after 10:00 a.m. at St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe St.) for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
