VALERIOTE, FRANCES MARY: – At Owen Sound Hospital, on Monday, February 7, 2022. Fran (Aylward) Valeriote, of Southampton, age 86 years, beloved wife of the late Jerry Valeriote (2014). Dear mother of Chuck (Tracy) of Guelph; Terri-Anne (late Kevin Russell) of Southampton; Patrick (Caroline) of Kitchener; Diane (Jeff Tooke) of London; Shannon (Kelly Lister) of Michigan; Tone (Robynne) of Walkerton and Cortni of Southampton. Loved grandmother of 11 grandchildren: Dawn, Shaun, Katie, Diane, Anita, Tim, Sarah, Domenic, Jack, Nate & Quinn, 5 great-grandchildren: Lucas, Paige, Adam, Owen & Avery as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Anna Aylward and her sister Kay Craig.
Fran was a witness to her profession as a Secular Franciscan by bringing the Gospel to life and life to the Gospel by how she lived her life. She was a member of St Joseph the Worker Franciscan Fraternity.
Fran along with her late husband, Jerry, were foster parents to dozens of children over three decades. She will be sadly missed by all.
Visitation at the Eagleson Funeral Home, Palmerston Street, Southampton, on Saturday, February 12 from 10am to 12pm. Funeral on Saturday, February 12th at St. Joseph’s Church, Port Elgin, at 12:30pm.
