Frances McCarron
1932-2022
Frances May (O’Hara) McCarron, formerly of Trenton, passed
away February 27, 2022 at Glen Haven Manor.
Born in New Glasgow on March 26, 1932, she was the eldest
daughter of Roy and Florence (MacLeod)
O’Hara.
Frances was a lifelong resident of Trenton with the exception
of the last few years when Glen Haven Manor was her home. She was a
member of the former Christ the King Parish, Trenton.
She was involved with several organizations over her lifetime
including the former Christ the King Altar Society, Trenton Fire Dept
Ladies Auxiliary and the Northumberland Quilters to name but a
few.
Frances was married to the late W. Adrian
“Adie” McCarron for 55 years. He predeceased her in
2006.
Surviving are daughters: Lynn (Keith) Murdock and Brenda
(Dave) White, both of New Glasgow; sons: Roy (Diane) Chanhassen,
Minnesota; Wayne (Kim), Trenton; grandchildren: Jennifer (Mathieu)
Levesque, Dave (Amy) Murdock; Jeff (Seana) Wadden, Candace (Matthew)
Chisholm, Tara (Sam) McCarron, Shauna McCarron, Ashlie (Shane) Cormier
and Sean MacNeil; great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Payton, Owen, Summer,
Finn, Ryder, Rowan, Drew and Kai. Also surviving are her sister,
Shirley (O’Hara) Urquhart; brother-in-law, Fraser
“Bud” MacDonald, both of Massachusetts;
sister-in-law, Joan (McCarron) Leseaux, Ottawa; brother-in-law, Jack
Rehill, Ivey’s Terrace, Trenton; as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by
her sister, Betty (O’Hara) MacDonald; brother-in-law, Donald
Urquhart; nephew, Scott Urquhart; brothers and sisters-in-law: Isabel
“Muni” and Mickey Murphy, Bernard
“Dewy” and Margaret McCarron, Owen and Audrey
McCarron, Joe and Kaye McCarron, Helen and Allister Coleman, Catherine
“Kay” Rehill and Phyllis in infancy.
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation and
a private family funeral will take place. A graveside service and
interment will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral
Home.
