Frances Doreen Hilder January 30th 2022

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of my aunt Fran Hilder on January 30, 2022 at Rosewood Village in Trail, BC. She was 98 years old.
In her younger days she was employed at the Company Store which was run by CMNS (Tech) and later at the Trail Post office. She was a talented artist and enjoyed oil painting. She also enjoyed bowling and was involved in the morning coffee league at Glenmerry Bowl for many years.
Later she and her husband Marcel (Red) Garneau were involved with the old-time fiddlers and travelled from one fiddle contest to another.
A number of years after the passing of Red she reunited with longtime family friend Robert (Bob) Hilder and eventually married. Together they enjoyed travelling to places like Hawaii, Arizona and Ontario.
She is survived by nephew Ralph Di Sabato (Carol), stepson Ted Hilder, 3 step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
By auntie’s request there will be no funeral but a family grave side memorial later.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in her name may be made to the KBRH Health foundation at www.kbrhhealthdoundation.ca
You are invited to leave a personal message of condolence.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Frances Doreen Hilder January 30th 2022..
