Frances Brainin 2022

Frances Brainin
(née Weinstein)
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Frances, after a long illness, in Ottawa, on Sunday, December 25, 2022, at the age of ninety-one. Predeceased by her first husband, Daniel Rosenbloom, and her second husband, Martin Brainin. Left to lovingly remember her are her daughters, Arlene (Mark), Gail (Glenn) and Ellen. Her sister, Terri (Leon) and brother, Harvey (Rhona) remember the good times they shared with her over the years. Her adored grandchildren, Lisa, Graham (Varsha), Scott (Jessica), Brent (Julie) and Lauren (Makeham) will remember her for her laughs and undivided attention when she would come to visit from Montreal. She lives on in her great-grandchildren, Theo, Vihaan and Leela and was predeceased by her great-grandson, Liam. The family greatly appreciates the kindness, compassion and professional care provided to our mother at Hillel Lodge over many years. Deepest gratitude to Frances’s loving caregiver and our “fourth sister”, Winfred Namanya. A private family funeral will be arranged. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation in Frances’s memory to the Bess and Moe Greenberg Family Hillel Lodge c/o Hillel Lodge LTC Foundation, (613) 728-3990, or to the charity of your choice.

We offer our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Frances Brainin 2022  and hope that their memory may be a source of comfort during this difficult time. Your thoughts and kind words are greatly appreciated.
