BRISTOL, Florence “Terri” Maude (nee Vienneau)
Terri passed peacefully within the hands of Gary, the love of her life, in their home on December 25, 2022 in her 77th year. She leaves behind her husband of 58 wonderful years, her 2 children Steven (Suzanne) and Shannon (Vaughn), grandchildren Thomas, Bradley, Terri Ann and Samantha, and 3 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Sarah “Sadie” (Nee Lewis) and Joseph Ernest Vienneau.
Terri was born in St. John, New Brunswick and moved to Hamilton in 1951. She met Gary Bristol in 1957 and they were married in June 1964. Terri and Gary traveled many times to Portugal and enjoyed taking cruises. They also spent years at their trailer in Port Burwell where they made an enormous amount of friends.
After finishing a Health Care Aide course, Terri worked at St. Joseph’s Villa in Dundas, Ontario for 32 years. She was extremely well loved by all that she worked with the Villa. Shortly after starting she took off a few years to raise her daughter but returned in 1979. Terri retired from St. Joseph’s Villa on September 30, 2010 to help look after her granddaughter Samantha. Terri was a fighter, over 20 year survivor of breast cancer and managing her dementia diagnosis from about 8 years ago.
Terri will be remembered for her kindness, love and all her baking. A true Angel got her Golden Wings.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nisker, Dr. Tytus and his staff for their kind and compassionate care they provided to Terri.
Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home – “William J. Markey Chapel”, 947 Rymal Road East, HAMILTON (905.574.0405) on Thursday from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held at Bay Gardens Funeral Home on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 3:00 pm. Cremation to follow at Bayview Cemetery.

Aunt Terri was an amazing, beautiful and classy individual with just enough of the east coast in her to keep her sassy and edgy. She was an amazing sister-in-law to my mother who she visited regularly, always bringing some baked goodies and something that she knitted. Although I didn’t see her often, it was always nice to visit with her. I will miss her kind and graceful spirit.
Shoot for the stars Auntie and know that your journey is not over, it is just beginning. RIP.
