Obituary
Surrounded by her loving family, Florence Day peacefully passed away on Monday, May 9th, 2022 at Western Long-Term Care, in Corner Brook, NL, in her 79th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: her husband, Ron of 59 years; daughter: Jeanette (Robert); son: Tony (Lisa); daughter: Donna; son: Brian (Wanda); grandchildren: Roland, Jeffrey, Brandon, and Megan; as well as great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Also leaving to mourn, her sisters: Mary, Theresa, Minnie, Dot, Sadie (Randy), and Sylvia (Randy) McKinnon; brothers: Russell, Alex, Archiel (Lindy), and Danny (Paulette). Florence was predeceased by her parents: Alice and Archibald McKinnon; sisters: Shirley and Margaret; brothers: Jimmey, Johney, Joe, Allen, and Angus. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Western Long-Term Care, second floor, Shoreview, for all the loving care provided to our mother.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 at Country Haven Funeral Home from the hours of 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM; Thursday, May 12th, 2022, from the hours of 2-4 PM & 7-9PM. A funeral service will take place on Friday, May 13th, 2022 at 2:00 PM from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jocelyn Cook officiating. Interment to take place on Monday, May 16th, 2022 at Mount Patricia Cemetery, at 2:00 PM.
