It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ferne Coumbs at the Ross Memorial Hospital on October 30, 2022 in her 84th year. Ferne Elizabeth Jane Coumbs was the daughter of the late Leonard and Alberta Mills. She was a devoted wife to the late Arnold Coumbs. Ferne was a loving mother to Greg (Jeannette), Brad (Beth), Lisa, and Dawn McNeil (Tim), and pre deceased by her children Heather and Owen, and her daughter in law Geraldine. She was the best grandma to Crystal Robinson (Tim), Stacey Swanton (David), Noah, Josh, Drew, and Jesse McNeil and the late Austin McNeil, and a step grandma to Alana Carr (Jamie). She was a loving great grandma to Madison and Layne Robinson and Rogue Swanton. She was a little sister to Lenny Mills Jr. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOME – MONK CHAPEL. There is visitation Thursday November 3rd from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Hendren Funeral Home – Monk Chapel. And another visitation Friday November 4th at 11:00am – 12:00pm with the service starting at 12:00pm. There is burial to follow at Verulam Cemetery in Bobcaygeon. Donations can be made to Kawartha Settlers Village or to the Bobcaygeon Seniors Centre on our website at www.hendrenfuneralhome.com or by calling us at 705-738-3222. Masks will be mandatory during both visitation and service as per the family’s request.
