Fernande Aubin-Larochelle (Brière)
The family announces with sorrow her death on Friday, December 31, 2021 at the Timmins and District Hospital at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by her husband Clément Larochelle (2013). Dear mother of Juliette Ciarrocca (Frank) of Timmins. Loving grandmother of Joshua (Christina) and Christopher. Dear sister of Claire Morissette (Paul Lamothe) of Chapleau, Lucille Curtis of Hearst and Louisianne Rodrigue of Rouyn-Noranda. Sister-in-law of Henry Birimcombe of Timmins. Fernande will be missed by Claire Larochelle as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her daughter Carole Aubin, her son Ronald Aubin, her sisters Lorraine Brimcombe and Gloria Aubin and her brother Arthur Brière. Fernande was born on June 9, 1931 in Guérin, Québec. She was a very kind, loving and compassionate person who was always in good spirits. She was a woman of faith who enjoyed participating in daily Mass. After retiring from working in the kitchen at the Golden Manor, she enjoyed many years camping, fishing and winters in Florida with her husband Clem. She was a great cook and had a passion for sewing for herself and others. Family was everything to her especially her grandsons Joshua and Christopher. The family would like to extend their sincere thank you to the doctors and nurses at TDH for the compassion and excellent care mom received in the Hospice unit. A very special “Thank you” to Terri Scott and the entire staff at the Lasalle Residence for the exceptional care provided during her stay. In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family service with burial at Timmins Memorial Cemetery. In her memory, donations can be made to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins.
