On July 29, 2022, following a brief illness, Fern went home to be with her loving Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, at Concordia Village at the age of 86.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, daughter Debbie Brand (Trevor), daughter Sylvia Wittmaier (Reinhart), son Stuart Taylor (Margaret), son Steven Taylor (Eleene), grandchildren Graham (Ainsley), Kristine (Landon), Elissa (Chevy), Richard, Heather (Andrew), Sarah (Rene), Matthew, Eric (Morgan) and Tatiana (Scott), sixteen great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.
Fern was predeceased by her loving husband Cliff, her sister Garnis and her brother Dennis and one grandson in infancy, David.
Fern was born in Carberry, MB and moved to Winnipeg as a small child. She worked at the Worker’s Compensation Board for several years before her four children came along. She sold Avon for many years and was a top salesperson in her district. She and Cliff bought Prairie Grove Ceramics, where they worked together for 17 years before they sold the business. Fern and Cliff lived and raised their children in their North Kildonan house for 60 years. She continued to live there for eleven more years after dad passed. Last year she moved to Concordia Village where she made many friends and was enjoying the next stage in her life.
A private family funeral has already taken place at Bardal Funeral Home and there will be a Memorial Service at Calvary Temple, Buntain Chapel on Tuesday, August 16 at 3:00 p.m.
