Fern “Bowie” Maureen Conrod
Conrod, Fern “Bowie” Maureen, Age 76, Truro, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Pansy (Ettinger) McCallum.
Fern had a great passion for music and in her younger years would spend many Saturday nights at the local dances. Years later, she could be found travelling around the bluegrass fields with her best friend, Sharon Lewis or sitting around a bon fire with Audrey and Gordie Farrell with drink in hand. While her love of music was great, her love for family was greater as she loved her three daughters and four grandchildren deeply.
Fern is survived by her daughters, Sherry (Aaron) Trenton, Diane (Eddie) Moncton, NB and Angela (Frank) Salisbury, NB; her grandchildren, Jocelyne, Elizabeth, Alison and Mathew; sisters, Geri, Violet, Dianne, Bonnie, Pinkie (Bob) and brother, Butch as well as her Aunt Eunice.
She was predeceased by her brother, Ivan McCallum; sister, Vangie Langille; brothers-in-law, Bob Langille and Richard MacDonald.
