Felix Joseph Comeau 2022

Felix’s Obituary
COMEAU, Felix – Age 85, formerly of Meteghan, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Veterans Place, Yarmouth.
Son of the late James “Jim” and Emilienne (Melanson) Comeau of Meteghan, Felix was a baseball player in his younger years and a competitive bowler. He pitched for the Weymouth Pontiacs and had a photo from 1959 with which he was very proud to be a part of. He told stories of the times he and his team mates went to tournaments. His trophy collection was plentiful.
He was a lobster and herring fisherman. He participated in the Cape Saint Mary Tuna Tournament and loved to tell stories about his time on the ocean. After retirement he spent his time on his tractor logging and would go to the wharf to talk to his friends about fishing. The stories he told were always entertaining and his smile and sense of humour were always near.
He was predeceased by his brothers Benoit (Ella), Stan (Irene), Ernest (Annette) and sister Celine (Roland) Saulnier.
The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at The Veterans Unit at the Yarmouth Hospital the staff Su Martha and Dr. Chandler.
Public graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 20th at 11am, in Stella Maris Cemetery, Meteghan Centre.
