Fairlie Marilyn Ann November 18 2022

It is with heavy hearts and a deep sense of loss that our family announces the death of our
wife, mother, grandmother, dear friend, sister, and so much more, Marilyn Ann Fairlie (nee.
Lewis) on Friday, November 18, 2022 at the age of 70.
She passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Barry; her siblings, Robert(Margo), Garry (Connie), and Karen; her children Greg and Lisa (Pablo); and sixgrandchildren, Alexandra, Jason, Jackson, Madeline, Grace, and Andrew; and numerous
nieces and nephews.
Our family is eternally grateful for the kindness and support during this
time.
A celebration of life will be held at Sturgeon Alliance Church on Friday, November 25 at
2:00 pm. We kindly ask that in remembrance of Marilyn, wear vibrant clothing. All colour is
acceptable, as her and many family members are unable to distinguish them anyway.
Those who knew Min often referred to her as a sweetheart, loving and kind-hearted. Despite
this, after 50 years of marriage to Barry, she was a force to be reckoned with. She was often
found with family and friends, and loved travelling, beaches, and sewing. Cards are
everywhere in our homes, as Marilyn was always playing Pinochle and countless games.
We would like to extend special thanks to Fort Saskatchewan Palliative Care, Dr. Linda
Carter and Nurse Shelly Harris, who have given us so much to be grateful for.
Donations to the Cross Cancer in Marilyn’s name would be greatly appreciated.
