Obituary of Evelyn May Allard
Evelyn May Allard (nee Aitkenhead) passed away peacefully at the age of 99 with loving family members present at the Westwood Retirement Home on Thursday, Nov 17. Born in Ottawa Sept 18, 1923, predeceased by her husband Mickey (Gerald), her two sons John and Jeffrey, her brother Lloyd (Sonny), and sister Claire Murphy (Mickey). Evelyn is survived by her sister Audrey Bourgeau (Arthur), and her three daughters Patricia Belair (Mark), Brenda Allard, Deborah Allard Usunier (Lionel), and son David Allard (Lisa). She will be missed by her grandchildren Erin & Nicole Belair, Elise & Jenna Usunier, Audrea Rose, Alexandra & Adam Allard; plus, her many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn worked as a public servant for the federal government, and was a word search fanatic right to the end. Service will be held at the Pinecrest Cemetery, located at 2500 Baseline Rd. Ottawa on Wednesday, Nov 23, at 2:30 pm with refreshments and comfort to follow. Condolences/tributes/ donations through Pinecrest Remembrance Services.
