Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother who lost her battle with cancer at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba with her children by her side.
She leaves to mourn, her children Audrey Campbell (Les), Wayne Campbell, Mona Campbell (Wayne), Nelson Jr (Jenn), Shannon Campbell (Layla), Warren Campbell. Evelyn had many grandchildren and great grandchildren too numerous to mention. Evelyn also has siblings who will also mourn her passing, Margaret Lafreniere (John), Melva Campbell (Bob), Verna Ledoux, Linda Parenteau (Johnny), Ernie Campbell (Isabel), Howard Campbell (Donna), Paul Campbell, Darlene Campbell (Albert), Deborah Flamand (Keiron), Brenda Wesley (Joe).
Evelyn is predeceased by her husband Nelson Campbell; her mom and dad Bernadette and Harry Campbell; siblings Stanley Campbell, Violet Campbell, Ambroise Campbell, Norman Campbell and Harold Campbell; brother in laws John Lafreniere, John Parenteau and Joseph Wesley; and her grandson Wayne Darryl Campbell Jr.
Evelyn was born in Camperville, Manitoba and raised in Duck Bay, Manitoba. Later, she moved to Winnipeg with her husband Nelson Campbell to raise their family.
Thanks to the doctors and nurses at Health Sciences Centre for their care of Evelyn as she battled cancer.
As per the children’s wishes, cremation will take place, and an internment will follow at a later date with a celebration of Evelyn’s life.
A private family service will be held at Eternal Grace at 10-1111 Logan Avenue on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 5:00 pm. After 6:30, family and friends are invited to come and pay their final respects to Evelyn.
