Twast, Evelyn of Port
Hawkesbury. Age 93, Passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022
in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home. Born in Strasbourg,
Saskatchewan, Evelyn moved to Port Hawkesbury in 1970 with her husband
Albert and family, as did many others who worked at the Gulf Oil
Refinery.
She is predeceased by her brother, Alf Rodenbush; husband,
Albert Twast; eldest son, Terry Twast and great-granddaughter, Ella
Boudreau. Evelyn is survived by sons, James Twast (Patricia), Newtown,
NS; Randy Twast (Erin), Timberlea, NS; and daughter-in-law, Jo-Ann
Masson-Twast, Wardner, BC. She will be forever missed by her
grandchildren, AJ Twast, Keli Boudreau, Kieran Twast, Brent, Darren,
and Mark Twast, Jaimie Masson, Jessie MacDonald, Trevor Masson, as
well as great-grandchildren, Brandon Silliker, Cole and Ryan Twast,
Ava Boudreau, Macen and Emercen Twast, and Lennon
MacDonald.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. Service
will be in St. Mark’s United Church, Port Hawkesbury at a later
date.
The family would like to thank the Staff at the Port
Hawkesbury Nursing home who have made Evelyn comfortable for the past
2 ½ years, as well as Dr. J. Collins for his excellent care
for the past 50 years.
