Evangeline Avis Head, 86 of Digby, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2022 in the comfort of her home on Culloden Road with her family around her. She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Irene (Ruggles) Hudson, and the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Evangeline was affectionately known by “Vangie”, “Angie”, and “Dook”. She was a loving mother and adored her cats, as they gave Evangeline much comfort. She treasured her time playing Skip-Bo and Backgammon with her niece, Sheri. She also enjoyed shopping and painting. In her later years, Evangeline loved playing games and scrolling through Facebook on her tablet.
“You will be forever missed and loved,” from all your family.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Rodney (Andrea); Mitchell (Sue); daughter, Tanya (Luke); daughter-in-law, Esther Phillips; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Evangeline was predeceased by her husband, Ron Head; son, Marc Phillips; sisters, Helen LeBlanc and Audrey Vantassel; and brother, Donald Hudson.
Thank you to her daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter for taking care of Mom last year after she broke her kneecap due to a fall.
