Eugeniusz “Eugene” Grygorcewicz
It is with great sadness and heartbreak that the family of Eugeniusz (Eugene) Grygorcewicz announce his passing after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
Eugene passed peacefully in his sleep on January 18th at 81 years of age.
Eugene was a loving and caring husband of 56 years to Krystyna (Wilusz), father to Helen (Ivar) Roefs and Ed (Faye) Grygorcewicz, and proud grandfather to Alex. He will be missed by many cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.
Predeceased by his parents Julia (Chmaro) and Boleslaw Grygorcewicz, his brother Ken Grygorcewicz and nephew John Grygorcewicz.
He will be forever be remembered and greatly missed.
Thank you to the palliative care team at Community Care Partners for their support.
Friends will be received at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 68 Wellington St. North, Woodstock on Friday, January 21, 2022 from 4-7pm.
Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dariusz at Holy Cross Church 169 Ingersoll Road, Woodstock on Saturday at 10:00am. Internment to follow at St Mary’s Cemetery.
All guests are required to RSVP through the funeral home website for both the visitation and funeral mass.
Donations can be made to The Canadian Cancer Society or to The Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Eugene.
