Esther Seltzer (Née Zinman)
Peacefully, on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Lou for sixty-one years. Devoted mother of Faith (Mark), Jane (Gabor), and Allan (Mindy). Cherished Bubby of Elliot (Chelsea), Noah, Colin, Libby, Adam (Andrea), and Eric. Proud great-grandmother of Mabel and Arlee. Dear sister of the late Naomi (the late Abe), the late Freda (the late Ralph). Sister-in-law of the late Joseph (Bonnie), the late Larry (the late Rose), the late Annabelle (the late Dean), the late Hyman (the late Eva), the late Eli (the late Doris). Esther will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Esther was an accomplished pianist and artist. A true plein air painter, Esther would drive through the rural Quebec countryside at all times of the year, looking for a scene to paint. She would set up her easel wherever she felt inspired; a farmer’s field of hay; a deserted barn; a village of colourful houses. Esther spent many hours taking care of gardens both at her home and the Green Valley Golf and Country Club, where she oversaw the landscaping. Esther loved life and lived it to the fullest until the very end, her big heart always open to family, friends and community. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, December 30 at 2:00 p.m. Burial at the B’nai Brith Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva Private.
