Peacefully at home on Monday, May 9, 2022. Beloved and dedicated wife of the late Fred. Very special mother and mother-in-law of Ron, Larry & Carolyn, Diane and the late Ian. A loving and special Bubby who will be greatly missed by her devoted grandchildren Sadie, Quinn, Samantha, and Robert. Devoted sister and sister-in-law of Stanley and Faigie and predeceased by her twin and best friend Leonie Sybil and Howard, Betty and Nathan, Jack, Bill and Estelle, Hy and Rose. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews who she always kept in touch with and made sure to send a card to on each and every birthday.
She was a stellar student at Strathcona Academy in Montreal. You could find her and her twin, Leonie, bookending the photos of every sports team imaginable. At a young age she adored horseback riding at dude ranches in upstate New York as well as skiing in the Laurentians. Once married she spent her favourite days surrounded by her family at her cottage at Grand Lac Long.
Graveside service on Wednesday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Young Israel of Chomedey Congregation Section, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Duvernay. Shiva strictly private. Contributions in Esther’s memory may be made to Cummings Jewish Centre for Seniors,(514) 734-1756.
