It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Esther Jane Cox of Grand Bank announces her passing. Esther passed away at the Blue Crest Nursing Home in Grand Bank on Monday, December 19th, 2022, at the age of 93. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are her son Randy Cox (Florence) of Grand Bank; daughters, Gail Coady (Richard) of Grand Bank, Marguerite Peach (Sandy) of Grand Bank, Eleanor Caul (Steve) of Burin Bay Arm, Trudy Cox (Garland) of Poole’s Cove; 13 grandchildren, Gail, Paul, Jason, Kayla, Holly, Daniel, Randy, Heather, Melissa, Christopher, Bradley, Marcella, Michelle; 19 great-grandchildren, Courtney, Steven, Tyler, Palii, Owen, Jasper, Dakoda, Joshua, Owen, CJ, Cameron, Colton, Brianna, Andrew, Nathan, Colby, Rebecca, Hannah, Alexander; 1 great-great-grandson Denver; sister, Leah Jane Payne of Corner Brook; brother, Jim Lee of Mount Pearl; special friend, Georgie Green; plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Esther was predeceased by her husband, Maurice; son, Stanley; grandchildren, Maurice, Susannah, Malia; parents, Robert Lee and Margaret Lee-Budgell; sisters, Mary (Maxwell) Bungay, Roseina, Roberta (Obiediah) Newport; brother, Sammy; brother-in-law, Walter; sisters-in-law, Stephanie and Irene.
The Cox Family will gather privately at Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Fortune on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 for family, extended family and close friends. A private family funeral service will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home Fortune on Wednesday, December 21st, 2022. Interment to follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery in Grand Bank.
In Esther’s memory donations may be made to The Salvation Army Grand Bank Cemetery Fund or flowers gratefully accepted.
