It is with heavy hearts the family announces that Ernie passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on August 18, 2022, at the age of 86.
Ernie leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, Ruth Vera Kinsella. He is the much loved and proud dad of Brenda Render (Hugh) of Greater Madawaska and Edward of Ottawa. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Steve), Wesley (Kim) and Melissa (Brett) and great-grandfather of Keaton, Luella, Claire, Paul and George. He will be missed very much. Predeceased by his parents, Victor and Gertrude Emmerson of Galetta.
Ernie’s final care has been entrusted to the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Avenue, Carleton Place, Ontario. A visitation will be held on Wednesday August 24, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service to follow in the Chapel. A reception will follow the service with interment at Huntley United Cemetery.
The family has requested that masks are to be worn.
