Ernest’s Obituary
ROBICHAUD, Ernest Joseph – age 92, Yarmouth Co passed on April 5, 2022, in the Meadows Home for Special Care in Yarmouth. Born July 21,1929 in Richibucto, NB, he was a son of the late Daniel and Emilienne (Chevarie) Robichaud. After finishing school Ernest worked as a Clerk at the Co-op, he then became a sales rep for Singer Sewing machine in the Maritimes, where he would eventually meet his wife of 67 years, Shirley. Ernest would get a job at Dominion Textiles, where he would work for 16 ½ years, until accepting a job at Micheline Tires, in Bridgewater, where he would work for 20 years until his retirement. Ernest was a jack of all trades, he could teach people how to sew, work in electrical or plumbing, he also built 2 houses. He lived an active lifestyle, playing pool, hockey, baseball, line dancing and washer toss, he also enjoyed going camping. he is survived by his wife Shirley; Son Preston (Heather); Daughter Arlene (Clinton) Hubbard; Grandchildren Cory (Charmaine) Hubbard, Craig Hubbard, Amanda (Merle) Cummins and Trevor (Alicia) Robichaud, Great grandchildren Cayden Cummins, Liam Hubbard, Helena Hubbard and Ciara Hubbard. Sister, Bernadette Murphy and brother Charlie Richard. Besides his parents he was predeceased by Son, Daniel Robichaud and sisters, Rosalie Richard and Delima Woodsworth. Visitation will be held on Thursday April 7th from 2-4 with prayers at 3pm, from Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel, Yarmouth. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday April 8 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Ambrose Co-Cathedral, Yarmouth, Father Henry Smolenaars officiating. Interment will take place Saturday April 9th at 2:30 P.M. from Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s or Heart and Stroke Society.
