Obituary
Eric Joseph Jesso (Chain), passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer, at Western Long Term, Palliative Care Unit, on Sunday, May 22nd, 2022 at the age of 75 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 53 years, Betty; sons: Keith and Tyler; daughters: Doreen (Bill), Loretta (Greg) and Tina (Danny); grandchildren: Meaghan, Matthew, Brandon (Amanda), Bradley (Jeannine), Taylor (Morgan), and Bailey (Alyssa); great-grandchildren: Rain, Noah and special great-grandchild: Ella; brothers: Wally (Yvonne), Ren, and Jim (Kim); sisters: Doreen, Isabelle, Kay and Ruby (Dave); brothers-in-law: Gerald, Ray (Rose), Bill, John (Karen) and Fred (Debbie); sisters-in-law: Theresa (Chris), Cathy (Paul), Roxanne (Flemming), Sadie, and Lorraine. Also leaving to mourn, a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Chain was predeceased by his parents: Ernest and Frances Jesso; brothers: Albert and Mike; sister: Mary; brothers-in-law: Ralph, Wilfred and Howard; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Gerald and Margaret Power.
As per Chain’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 25th, 2022 from 2-4 PM & 7-9 PM. A funeral service will take place at Our Lady Star of the Sea, Benoit’s Cove, NL, on Thursday, May 26th, 2022 at 10:30 AM, with Father Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at the church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, there are no flowers by request. A memorial donation may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea, Roman Catholic Church, or Western Long Term, Palliative Care Unit.
