It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eric Akins of Calgary, Alberta on October 9th, 2022 at the age of 58. He leaves to mourn Carol, his son William, His daughters, Melissa, Jenny and Terri. Eric’s mother, Marie Akins. His siblings Rose, Kelly, Tina, Charlie, Clark, Elaine and Joan. Along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Eric was a man with a huge heart and was always willing to give the shirt off his back. He was known for helping out anyone, even strangers in their time of need; offering food and shelter until they got back on their feet. He touched many peoples lives in amazing ways. Eric also took pride in enjoying a day out on the bike. There wasn’t a day that he wouldn’t try taking a ride on his Harley even with snow still on the ground.
Thank you to everyone who was able to share great stories and memories they had of Eric. We hope you find peace in your journey and you will never be forgotten.
