Elsie May Hartlin
1936-2022
It is
with sadness that the family of Elsie May Hartlin, of New Minas,
formerly of Walton, then Liverpool, announce her peaceful passing on
Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in her most recent residence at Grand View
Manor, Berwick at the age of 86. Born in Walton, she was a daughter of
the late Alvin and Leila (McLellan)
Burgess.
Prior to
retirement, Elsie worked at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool in the
Surgical Sanitation Department for over 30 years. She was a past
member of Grace United Church, Walton for many
years.
She is
survived by her special nephew, Jamie Carmichael; special niece, Elsie
MacDonald (Tony); half-brother, Blaine (Helen) Patterson; as well as
many other nieces and nephews who will all miss her
dearly.
In
addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Keith
Hartlin; sisters, Lilly Merritt, Peggy MacDonald, Marina Carmichael,
Edna Porter, and Julia Sawler; brothers, Franklyn and Harris
“Bobby” Burgess; and half-brother, Leslie
Patterson.
The
family would like to extend their sincere thanks of appreciation to
Grand View Manor for the exceptional care and compassion they provided
to Elsie.

Cremation has taken place and there
will be no visitation, by request. A graveside service will be in
Harmony Cemetery, Harmony Mills, Queens Co. at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday,
November 26, 2022. Donations in
memory may be made to the Grace United Church, Walton.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
