Elsie May Bryenton 2022

Elsie May Bryenton, wife of the late Chester Clifford Bryenton of Losier Hall, formerly of Bryenton NB, passed away Saturday September 10, 2022, at her late residence, at the age of 99.
Born in Renous NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Loretta (Manderville) Hallihan.
Our dear mother Elsie met and married our dad while she was working for Everette and Agnes Bryenton. They settled in Bryenton and raised four children. Our mom worked at Miramichi Hospital as a health Care Aide, also kept busy with papering, painting, and cutting and perming hair. After our dad’s accident in 1961 leaving him a Quadriplegic. She stayed at home caring for him until he passed in 1978. Always willing to help anyone she did some homecare and volunteered for the Saint John Ambulance. She enjoyed traveling and visited relatives in Ontario, Alberta, Florida and Germany. She was a very loving, caring and supportive mom and always available to help whenever needed. Some of her favorite outings were going to Bingo, Bowling, watching Baseball Games and Church. She will always be known as the lady who gave her all to everyone and anyone in need… never putting herself first. As well as being the Best Mother in the world, she would take # 1 prize for being the Best Gramma and Nannie making us all feel she loved us the Best. We are sure there is a spiritual place for her in the Kingdom of Heaven and she will continue to guide us every day. He Love id never ending.
She is survived by three daughters, Greta Farrah (Wallace) of Sus, Brenda Wilson (Late David) of Quarryville and Joan Sturgeon (Late Irvin) of Nelson, one son Leonard (Alisce) Bryenton of Doyles Brook, two brothers, Ivan Hallihan and Robert Hallihan, 12 grandchildren; Tanya Sherwood, Sean Farrah, Michael Farrah, Jeff Wilson, Trevor Wilson, Andrea Wilson, Tracey Bryenton Power, Stephen Bryenton, Jamie Bryenton, Natasha Black, Melissa LeBlanc and Malcolm Sturgeon, 18 great grandchildren; Maya Sherwood, Abigail Sherwood, Lilah Farrah, Piper Farrah, Xavier Farrah, Alex Farrah, Jenna Wilson, Davey Wilson, Wilson Despres, Michael Power, Ty Power, Larissa Coughlan, Emily Bryenton, Ava Bryenton, Ruby Black, Ivy LeBlanc, Everly LeBlanc and Nova Sturgeon.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two sons Wallace and Laurie, one sister Iona Williston, two brothers Frank Hallihan and Leo Hallihan.
Elsie May Bryenton is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Monday September 12, from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. A reception will follow the service. Burial will be in the family plot of Derby United Cemetery.
In her memory, donations to Josie Foundation or a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
