The family announces with sorrow the death of Elsie Lois Huard at the age of 85 years. Elsie passed away peacefully at Temiskaming Lodge Thursday, March 10, 2022.
Born July 16, 1936 in Firstbrook Township to the late Alex Brown and the late Ella Augusta-Button. Elsie had worked as a waitress for most of her life. She loved gardening, cooking and baking. In later years Elsie and Keith had a camper at Bucke Park where they enjoyed many days of camping and fishing. Elsie had a big heart and was always willing to lend a hand with whatever was needed.
Predeceased by her parents and her husbands George Huard and Keith Hurst. Sadly missed by her children: Lois Jean Moore [Michael] of Coleman Township, Betty Ann Deslippe [Wes] of Haileybury and George Ronnie Huard [Gisèle Cyr] of Haileybury. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Mark [Kristina], Joshua, Skyler, Melissa Huard-Rideout [Jacob Rideout], Holly Labonté [John Robbins], Claire Brazeau [Dave Lachance], great-grandchildren: Aila Elsi Huard, Tianna, Sebastien, Mackenzie, Kierra, Lexi, Rylan, Christien and Mya. Also left to mourn is her niece Isabel Johnson of Whitehorse.
In keeping with Elsie’s wishes, cremation will take place at Lakeview Crematorium – Haileybury. Arrangements entrusted to Buffam Leveille Funeral Home. Memorial contributions to the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged. Condolences and memorial contributions may be left at www.buffamleveille.com.
