With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother. Left to mourn are her children Joe (Debbie) Fedorchuk, Pat Harlow and Don Batenchuk, Barb Fedorchuk, Diane (Victor) Robertson, and Bob (Susan) Fedorchuk; grandchildren Melissa (Josh) Fedorchuk, Nicole Fedorchuk, Michael Fedorchuk; Jerry (Kirsten) Harlow, Bobby (Jen) Harlow; Thomas and Curtis Kowalski; Paul and Mandy Robertson; Kaitlyn (Brent) Lightfoot, Samantha (Eric) Popel, Tamara Fedorchuk; and great- grandchildren Arya, Oaklynn, Flynn, Braxon, Bella, Jaxon, and Ryder; and nieces, nephews and friends.
Elsie Fedorchuk was born in Garson, Manitoba. She lived with her parents Bill and Mary Firmaniuk, her two sisters Annie and Marsha, and Bill’s mother Maria Dropko Firmaniuk on the farm just outside Garson for a bit. Bill then built a house in town where they lived a few more years before moving to Winnipeg. When Elsie and John married in 1959, they lived in Birtle for a few years, then moved back to the family farm in Garson. There we eventually were a family of 7, raising cows, pigs and chickens, grain, hay, and a huge vegetable garden.
Mom was loving, funny, a very hard worker, and fiercely devoted to us kids. She did the barn, garden, and house chores, raising five kids to boot. We were poor but did not know it at the time because we seemed to have everything we needed and wanted.
As the farm scaled down Mom started working at Gateway Restaurant in Beausejour, then a few years later at East Gate Lodge. She made great friends and to this day I meet people who say “I worked with your mom – she was so great and so much fun!”
Words cannot express our gratitude to the staff at Beausejour Hospital for their kindness and caring while Mom was there. Thank you so much!

A celebration of our beautiful mother will be held Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 1:00 at the Tyndall Village Community Centre at 69 Pierson Drive in Tyndall, Manitoba.
