ZIMMERMANN, Else (Biebersdorf)
1933 – 2022
It is with sorrow but also with thanks for her long and fulfilling life. The family of Else Zimmermann announces her passing at Pleasant Manor, on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at the age of 89. Beloved wife of the late Nick Zimmermann (2013). She leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law Winifried (Irmgard) Biebersdorf, children Ron (Barbara), Ray and Annette Janzen (Larry Dunseith). She was a loving Oma to Alyssa Benoit (Brandon), Eric Zimmermann, Derrick Janzen and Ryan Zimmermann. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada and Germany.
Else was a strong willed determined woman. In May of 1959, she came with her husband Niko to Canada from Germany following her brother, aspiring to have a better life, future and family. A heartfelt thanks for the excellent care given by the staff at Pleasant Manor.
The family will receive friends at MORGAN FUNERAL HOME, 415 Regent St., Niagara-on-the-Lake, on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate the life of Else, will be held at the funeral home on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow in Niagara Lakeshore Cemetery.
