It is with saddened hearts, the family of Elora Mae Rose (nee Ching) announce her passing which occurred surrounded by her loving family at the Colville Manor on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Formerly of Lakeville, PE; Elora was born in Red Point, PE on October 26, 1939 and was a daughter to Charles and Bessie Ching.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years Robert Rose and was a loving mother to her sons Myles (Carol) and Boyd (Arlene). Elora was also a devoted Nanny to Adam Rose (Donna), April MacIntyre (Darren), Andrew Rose, Ellen Lukeman (Chris), Keisha Rose Topic (Ben), and Jorie Rose (Graeme); as well as a great-grandmother to Madison (Daniel), Colby (Gracie), and Aiden Rose, Hailey, Leah, and Gracie MacIntyre, Cora, Ruth, & Winnie Lukeman, Mae and Tilly Topic.
In addition, she is survived by her siblings Elwood Ching and Connie Coffin of Red Point, sister-in-law, Verna Gauthier of Kingston, Ontario and several nieces, nephews and many close friends. Elora is predeceased by her sons Sterling and Dean, parents-in-law Livingston and Alda Rose, brothers-in-law Lawrence (Joe) Gauthier, Blair Coffin and sister-in-law Mavis Ching.
Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home where visiting hours will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2022 from 5-8pm. A funeral service will be held at the Kingsboro Baptist Church on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 2:00pm with interment to follow in the South Lake Christian Church Cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of Elora can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada (PEI Chapter) or the South Lake Christian Cemetery Fund and are appreciated by the family.
