Obituary of Elly-May Wilson
With sadness we announce the passing of Elly-May Wilson on January 2, 2022.
Elly-May was a beloved life partner to John Scanland. Elly-May was a member of the Canim Lake Band and grew up in the 100 Mile House area. She spoke very little about her past, but she did speak very fondly of her love of horse back riding and barrel racing. Elly-May loved animals, especially her two cats, they were her babies. She loved John and all their fishing, camping and hunting adventures, she loved the outdoors.
Recently Elly-May reconnected with some of her siblings and that brought her so much happiness. John came into her life and at that point his family became her family. Elly-May was a kind person and was loved by anyone who met her. It was impossible not to smile when you saw her smile. John and Elly-May loved each other very much and their shared love of nature and the outdoors made them inseparable. Her untimely passing has left a hole in all our hearts.
“Swift journey to heaven on a fast horse Miss Elly”
