Death Notice
LEPPERT, Elliott Carl
Elliott Leppert died peacefully, with his family by his side, on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at North Bay Regional Health Centre. He was 85 years old. Elliott was predeceased by his beloved wife Edna (Harry) (1936-2017). He was the much-loved father of Ken Leppert (Dawn) of Corbeil and Kristina Leppert of Ajax; and will be lovingly remembered by his three grandchildren: Rochelle, Kirk and Cassandra. Elliott was predeceased by his siblings Glenn (the late Carol) and Carol Leppert. Elliott was a teacher at Argyle Public School for most of his career, educating generations of Argyle youth. In retirement, he, as guide and manager, and Edna, as cook, enjoyed working with Rogerson’s Lodges at their remote outpost Smokey Lake for many years. Elliott was a passionate community man, active in St. Andrew’s United Church, and serving many, many years in all of offices of the Argyle Lions Club. He was well known for his fund-raising efforts especially Crokinole Tournaments (and was rarely beaten!). The Leppert family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Sunday, August 7, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm with a Lions Club tribute service starting at 3:45 pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, August 8 from 10 to 11 am. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11 am led by Rev. Kathleen McCallum, and will be live-streamed (link below). If desired, donations in Elliott’s memory to the Argyle Lions Club or the NBRHC Foundation are suggested. The family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of both Nipissing Manor and the North Bay Regional Health Centre for the loving care of Elliott.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Elliott Carl Leppert August 3 2022..
