Obituary of Elizabeth Ella White
Elizabeth Ella White (Johnson) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Carleton Kirk Lodge on February 2, 2022. Born in Windsor Forks, NS, on December 28, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Elmyra (Filmore) Johnson.
Elizabeth had a strong love for her family and made each person feel special and loved. She connected with each family member in their own unique ways and never forgot the important things in their lives. Elizabeth was an excellent cook and enjoyed spending time reading and watching television.
Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Mary Bunnell, Jean Fraser, Doris Griffin, and Lorraine (Gregory) Watson; grandchildren Linda Bunnell, Sheila Armstrong, Cindy Aalbers, Beth Wittmeier, Pam O’Donnell, Naomi Bunnell, Angela Ellison, Reginald Griffin, Amanda Fraser, Melissa Morton, Gregory Watson, and Jennifer Watson; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; sister Shirley (Errol) Hopey; brothers Ralph (Sharon) Johnson and Alfred (Jeannette) Johnson; brother in law Arnold Weston; sisters in law Alice Johnson and Jean Johnson and countless nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by her loving husband Harold; sisters Della (Earl) White, Rita Weston, Winnifred (Fred) Ross, Annie (Russell) Chambers; brothers Irving Johnson, Edward Johnson, and William (Theresa) Johnson; sons in law Lawrence “Al” Bunnell, William Fraser and Gordon Griffin.
Resting at Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB (506-634-1701). Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held from Castle Fallsview Chapel on Wednesday, February 9 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Donations in Elizabeth’s memory can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and online condolences can be placed at www.castlefh.ca .
Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all of those, 12 and over, attending the Visitation and Funeral Service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of government issued ID, or proof of medical exemption.
