Elizabeth Marguerite Robichaud
July 18, 1939 – January 12, 2022

Elizabeth Marguerite Robichaud, Age 82, of Meteghan, Nova Scotia.
It is with sad hearts, that we, the family of Elizabeth Marguerite Robichaud (Robicheau), former Sister of Charity, announce her peaceful passing on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Daughter of the late Mathurin and Elizabeth Robichaud, Marguerite was born July 18, 1939, in the seventh month, she was the seventh child of a family of seven children. The number seven biblically means whole or complete, and she spoke of this being a spiritual sign.
She is survived by her brothers: Alfred, Yarmouth N.S. and Vernon, McAdam N.B. Sister-in-law Sheila, Calgary, AB. Many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers: Eddie, Leonard. Sisters: Regina and Rita. Sisters-in-law: Millie(Mildred), Dot(Dorothy), Zita. Brothers-in-law: Frank, Camille. Several nieces and nephews.
Raised bilingual in Meteghan, Marguerite joined the Sisters of Charity right after high school, and acquired three degrees in Education from Mount Saint Vincent University. She taught in the public schools of New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. She became fluent in Spanish and worked in the mission fields of Peru and the Dominican Republic, and travelled to several other countries. Marguerite also served in many roles in the Archdiocese of HalifaxYarmouth, and was involved in leadership for the Catholic Charismatic Renewal for more than 25 years.
After 50 years of service with the Sisters of Charity, Marguerite retired to continue on her own spiritual journey.
Before long term care, Marguerite was primarily cared for by her niece, Patricia Miles.
We sincerely appreciate the warm and tender care Elizabeth was shown by the staff on 4 West at Veterans Memorial. Additional gratitude to the Sisters of Charity, especially Sr. Joan O’Keefe, for their ongoing support throughout Marguerite’s faith journey. Thank you to everyone for all the prayers. They are working wonders.
A private funeral will take place on Tuesday, January 18 at 10 AM, Fr Patrick Salah officiating, at St Thomas More Church site, Christ the King Parish.
