Elizabeth Courneya June 26 1926 April 19 2022

Elizabeth Guild Courneya (nee Hart) 1926 – 2022, was born in Milford N.S.
A long time independent resident of St Elizabeth’s Village in Hamilton, she passed away peacefully after a brief illness. Elizabeth was predeceased by husband James (1915 – 1978).
Elizabeth is survived by her two younger sisters Mary and Ruth. She was a devoted mother to Allan (Shelley) & Janet (Brad) and an amazing Gramma to James (Melissa), Michelle (Kevin) and Daniel (Chelsea).
Those who knew her would describe her as the kindest person they’ve ever known.
To all of us she was kind, fun loving, generous, warm and supportive, with an ever present smile & a twinkle in her eye. She greatly enjoyed her circle of friends, travels and various excursions.
Elizabeth was truly dedicated to her immediate and extended family. Nothing gave her more joy that to connect with them whenever she could.
She enjoyed a 40+ year career as a Registered Nurse in Hamilton (Sanatorium, Henderson, and Macassa Lodge).
She was also a long time aviation enthusiast, with all three brothers (Gerald, Ralph and Harold) having served in the RCAF. She volunteered for over 20 years at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum.
There will be no formal funeral service, just a small gathering of immediate family at a future date. Feel free to visit the Clark Funeral home website www.maclarkfuneralhome.com/condolences where you can post comments, messages and memories. Donations to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
